1 fisher/hunter brings as much as 3 or more.ĭoesnt matter where I spawn or migrate, I wouldnt find enough food to get over the first year without crops.įrom my point -at the moment- the game is ok for one in game year.

(Which also throws up the question how should I be able to find out whats and what ammount is on the map, when I first have to build a whole camp and full farming to keep my citizens and to be able to migrate with enough food)Īlso it doesnt matter how many people I put in the fishing or hunting group. Just by doing the tasks that train the skill it would take decades to get even a few pixels more in the skill.Īnd whats more challenging about finding no food after the first year? Wouldnt be a problem if farming was easier/quicker or if the people wouldnt leave if they dont have a housing in the first days(honestly, third day, two houses, 4 guys left). Knowldge really increases only with migrant "groups"(mainly theres just one guy or lady in the "group"). "more challenging"? At the moment its just frustrating. Now that we have a very developed and tested gameplay, we have decided to participate in the Steam Autumn sale starting next November 22nd so that more people can enjoy the game and participate in the final development sprint before the official release of the game.Īdd Ancient Cities to your Steam Wishlist and Follow the game to be notified!Ī big Thank you to everybody for all your support!
Therefore, we want to announce that March 24th 2023 will be the official release date for Ancient Cities!

We have calculated that we will likely need a few more months of development to achieve these goals.ĭuring these months, we will not only include these features, but also improve compatibility, optimization and further polish the current gameplay. Īt this point the game is fully playable pending the implementation of husbandry in the local map, plus trade and raids in the regional map. After months of early access development and testing, we have completed the majority of the gameplay planned in our roadmap.
